class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>One of the reasons I enjoy and appreciate Human-Centred Design (HCD) so much is that is focuses on real needs. It requires you to understand the person you are designing for and their wider context. Quite often with a side hustle or small business (or any sized business!) you can get a great idea into market but find that it doesn\u2019t quite work with your customers or you just get stuck.<\/p><p>Design Thinking is a mindset, a way of solving problems creatively. HCD is a framework \/ approach to help you focus on the person you are designing for and consider them at all stages of bringing your idea to life. It\u2019s about putting humans at the centre and designing for their needs.<\/p><p>HCD and Design Thinking have been used in all sorts of things, from designing the first iPhone right through to Government systems and programs. Using prototypes allows you to get feedback on your idea quickly and easily &#8211; what works, what doesn\u2019t work, what is too much, what\u2019s missing, what would make it even better etc. Once you have this feedback you can iterate (update \/ change your idea) before you get too far down the road with bringing it to life.<\/p>\n<p>In this 2 hour workshop we will cover:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What is a prototype and why do we use them<\/li>\n<li>Creating your own rapid prototype<\/li>\n<li>How to test \/ get feedback on your rapid prototype<\/li>\n<li>Testing lab &#8211; Test your prototype and get immediate feedback<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><strong>Update:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>I&#8217;m not currently running these group sessions and I&#8217;m not sure if \/ when they will be back. I\u2019ve previously taught groups of people about HCD and Design Thinking in the corporate world, doing these mini sessions and 1:1\u2019s is something new that I\u2019m exploring &#8211; a prototype
